Tabbing requirements
are determined by the fold configuration of the mailing piece.
- Fold at the bottom with open top - single tab
- Fold at the top with open bottom - double tab
- Perforated tabs are not an acceptable closure method for
bar-coded rates.

the options for postage application?

5) What
is a Postnet Barcode?
In 1980 the Postal Service invented a unique bar-coding
method called Postnet, an acronym for Postal Numeric Encoding
Technique. The Postnet Barcode is a graphic method of
encoding Zip + 4 information and is usually unique for each
address. This information is used for sortation of letter
and flat size mail.
Every mailpiece in an automation rate mailing must bear a qualifying
barcode.

What are the proper Indicia formats?
- Effective January 10, 2001 the words BULK MAIL will
no longer be allowed for standard mailing indicia. There is no
change for first class or non-profit indicia's. See examples below:
